| Childhoodfriends Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan
Donaghy founded the Sugababes in 1998 just having fun with singing an writing their own songs.
Not even 16 years they got a contract at London Records and soon after they released their first single "Overload" and their first Album "One Touch" , containing
their first largely self-written song "One Touch" in the year 2000. Siobhan left the group in Autumn 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range, a pre-chart-member of Atomic Kitten. The band was droped by London Records and moved to Universal Records in autumn 2001, making sure that this time their creative input would be fully attended to. For their following albums the 'babes have written their songs largely on their own, with some help of great songwriters like Linda Perry, Brian Higgins, ... After Mutya gave birth to a little girl they are now back with their first No.1 Album "Taller in more Ways" which has spawned the No.1 Single "Push the Button". |
